This is where the Hachette Partworks series truly fell apart for me and never recovered. As I’ve said before, my main problem with the books are that they seemed to pick out the titles of the books without considering whether there were enough pictures to fill the books with.
This book is called Russian Dolls but includes dolls of all descriptions plus teddies. That could be okay, if annoying, but these images are repeated throughout with some of the images repeated as patterns in later pages.
There’s nothing particularly fun in this book either. I’m not sure what could have been done with dolls, but most pages are 1-6 dolls looking straight out of the page.
I wouldn’t recommend this book but it is still available on the Hachette partworks site if anyone is interested. My review of the rest of the series is HERE.
